Gender equality is fundamental to achieving sustainable development and economic growth in any nation. It is the economic empowerment of women and girls through collaborative partnerships across all stakeholders that will accelerate making sustainable development a reality.
Vital aid and women empowerment foundation (VAWEF) commenced work in Nigeria on the 2nd of January 2008 as a Non-profit organization inspired by Christian faith to relieve human suffering.
Our main mandate is to effectively promote gender equality and advance the rights of women and children and ensure that their needs are targeted and addressed in global development efforts
Through our activities and initiatives, we work to bring about progress for our target groups in the following development areas:
Our mission is to see that human suffering and poverty is alleviated so that the marginalized and underprivileged have equal access to development opportunities and better life, especially women and children.

Education for children
VAWEF’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education and empowerment. We work with partners in South Africa, Ghana, and Cameroun to ensure that the disadvantaged women, and children develop the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty.
VAWEF’s board members are drawn from a diverse constituency of policy makers, academics, Christian pastors and evangelists, researchers, activists, funders, practitioners, and businesspeople committed to gender equality.
