the vulnerable poor is an essential element in promoting poverty alleviation and reaching the SDGs for Africa.
Gender equality is fundamental to achieving sustainable development and economic growth in any nation. It is the economic empowerment of women and girls through collaborative partnerships across all stakeholders that will accelerate making sustainable development a reality.
Who we are:
Vital aid and women empowerment foundation (VAWEF) commenced work in Nigeria on the 2nd of January 2008 as a Non-profit organization inspired by Christian faith to relieve human suffering.
Our main mandate is to effectively promote gender equality and advance the rights of women and children and ensure that their needs are targeted and addressed in global development efforts
Through our activities and initiatives, we work to bring about progress for our target groups in the following development areas:
Food Security and Empowerment
Advocacy and human rights of women and children
Environment and adaptation to climate change
Adult and vocational education
Healthcare
Water sanitation & hygiene (WASH)
Our mission:
Our mission is to see that human suffering and poverty is alleviated so that the marginalized and underprivileged have equal access to development opportunities and better life, especially women and children.
Our Commitment:
Build partnerships with all stakeholders to advance the economic empowerment of women and share best practices to support the sustainable development goals across Nigeria and beyond, one community at a time.
Enhance and mobilize community participation in poverty eradication especially at grass root level.
Continue to advance the rights of women and girls
Participate in all forms of humanitarian assistance and conflict resolution through community dialogue and capacity building to reduce the incidence of violence against women.

Nigeria
30.5 mln people are hungry
While 20.5 mln others have no clean water
Help reduce poverty by investing in Women and Girls economic empowerment and assess to clean water.
Education for children
VAWEF’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education and empowerment. We work with partners in South Africa, Ghana, and Cameroun to ensure that the disadvantaged women, and children develop the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty.
